Chicago police say they’ve made an arrest in the shooting death last fall of 25-year old Northwestern University grad student Shane Colombo.

Colombo died on the Evanston-Chicago border when he was caught in cross fire of a shootout between two other people while standing at a bus stop on Clark Street just south of Howard Street.

Block Club Chicago reports that police now have charged Diante Speed, 20, with murder in the case. He was arrested Tuesday in the 2400 block of West Belmont Ave.

Columbo had been admitted to NU’s psychology Ph.D.program and had just arrived in town to begin classes when he was killed.
