A 28-year-old Evanston man now faces two charges of sexually assaulting women who he’d met through a dating app.

Evanston police say the second charge against Jason Taylor of the 1100 block of McDaniel Avenue was filed last Friday after an Algonquin woman in her 20s reported that a man police identified as Taylor had assaulted her on June 1 at Leider Park in the 500 block of Asbury Avenue.

Taylor was charged last month with assaulting a Chicago woman in an incident that occurred on July 30.

Police say he also apparently had tried to make contact with a number of university students in the area, but that they had declined to meet him.

Taylor is now being held without bond in the Cook County Jail.
