Guy Smith III, who was reported missing Tuesday from the 2300 block of Foster Street in Evanston, was located today in Chicago.

On Friday police had sought the public’s help in locating Smith, a 22-year-old man who had left home without the medicine he needed to take daily to treat a medical condition.

Evanston Police Cmdr. Joseph Dugan says that after Smith was located today, he was taken to a local hospital for examination and to update his medication, but was reported to be in satisfactory health.

Dugan says the Police Department and Smith’s family wish to thank the public and local media for their assistance in this matter.

Bill Smith is the editor and publisher of Evanston Now.
