Evanston police this afternoon are reporting that a man was robbed late Thursday afternoon as he walked down Oakton Street near Dewey Avenue.

The man said two people he didn’t know approached him and one flashed what appeared to be a knife and demanded his wallet. After the victim handed over the wallet, the two robbers fled on foot.

Police say the assailants are described as being a white male and a black male, both about 6 feet tall and weight about 180 pounds. They both were wearing red hooded sweatshirts, jeans and gym shoes.
