Evanston police say a 45-year-old man was shot in the right leg about 2 a.m. today in the 2000 block of Emerson Street.

Police Cmdr. Jay Parrott says the victim is being treated at a local hospital for what’s believed to be a non-life-threatening injury.

Officers found the victim after responding to a shots-fired call. Parrott says police are continuing to investigate the incident, although the victim is not cooperating with the investigation.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Evanston Police Detective Bureau at 847-866-5040 or use the anonymous Text-a-Tip program.
