Police checked out a report of a man with a gun at Main Street and Dodge Avenue, and a theft occurred at a room in the Orrington Hilton Hotel.  These are among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Someone reported seeing a man with a gun at Main Street and Dodge Avenue at 12:54 a.m. today. Police checked the area but found no man with a gun.

Theft

1700 Orrington

Cash and stereo equipment were among items taken from a room at the Orrington Hilton Hotel around 2:16 p.m. yesterday.

1300 Davis

An unsecured bicycle was taken from the yard of a home in the 1300 block of Davis Street between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. yesterday.

1800 Sheridan

A bicycle secured to a bike rack was stolen from the 1800 block of Sheridan Road between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Criminal Damage

555 Howard

Odessa J. Hernandez, 24, of  1234 W. Loyola Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 555 Howard St. at 3:42 a.m. today and charged with criminal damage to property. She is due in court on July 16 at 10:30 a.m.

Graffiti

600 Davis

Graffiti was discovered on the sidewalk in the 600 block of Davis Street at 7 a.m. today.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
