The organization Moms Saving our Sons is planning a march and rally against violence in Evanston on Saturday.

The group will march at noon from Twiggs Park at Dodge Avenue and Simpson Street to Evanston Township High School, where the rally will be held in the Upstairs Theater from 1 to 4 p.m.

The group will march at noon from Twiggs Park at Dodge Avenue and Simpson Street to Evanston Township High School, where the rally will be held in the Upstairs Theater from 1 to 4 p.m.

Scheduled presenters at the rally include Rashard Mendenhall of the Pittsburgh Steelers and his brother, Walter Mendenhall, as well as Manuel Scott, an original Freedom Writer.

There’ll also by musical performances by Seth “Golden Child” Watson and Sakari.

Organizations that will be present to offer services and support include PeaceAble Cities, the Evanston Community Development Corporation, Clerk of the Cook County Circuit Court offering juvenile criminal record expungement and other services, the Youth Job Center, Family Focus and  Youth Action Ministries of Evanston.
