Michael A. Gilbert, 53, of 1527 Greenleaf St., was arrested at that address at 8:26 p.m. yesterday and charged with simple battery. He is due in court on Sept. 8 at 9 a.m.
1210 Pitner
Salvador I. Ramos, 21, of 2145 W. Touhy Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1210 Pitner Ave. at 3:39 a.m. yesterday and charged with simple battery. He is due in court on Aug. 17 at 9 a.m.
Burglary
600 Sheridan
An unlocked 1997 Toyota was entered between 5:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:44 a.m. Friday in the 600 block of Sheridan Square.
900 Sherman
A wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 900 block of Sherman Avenue between 11 p.m. Friday and 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
700 Hinman
A car charger and miscellaneous tools were taken from an unlocked 1997 Ford in the 700 block of Hinman Avenue between 8:30 a.m. Friday and 10:30 a.m. yesterday.
2400 Ridgeway
Burglars entered the unlocked garage of a home in the 2400 block of Ridgeway Avenue between July 16 and 10:16 a.m. yesterday.
2500 Central Park
A bicycle was taken from the unlocked garage of a home in the 2500 block of Central Park Avenue between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Thursday.
2100 Brown
Burglars entered an unlocked home in the 2100 block of Brown Avenue around 4:53 a.m. Friday and stole a purse.
1100 Foster
A cell phone, a laptop computer, and a wallet were taken from an unlocked home in the 1100 block of Foster Street between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. Saturday.
1000 Garnett
Two suspects, wearing masks, invaded a home in the 1000 block of Garnett Place around 4:33 p.m. Friday. After a brief scuffle, they stole a cell phone and fled.

Someone punctured a tire on a 2013 Jeep near Mulford Street and Custer Avenue between 12:30 a.m. and 6:40 a.m. Friday.
100 Custer
A window was broken on a 2012 Chevrolet in an apartment parking lot in the 100 block of Custer Avenue between 10 p.m. Friday and 2:18 a.m. Saturday.

1814 Brown
Francisco J. Garcia, address unknown, was arrested at 1814 Brown Ave. at 6:20 p.m. Saturday and charged with trespass to vehicle. He is due in court on Aug. 12 at 9 a.m.
3800 Oakton
Carlos Martinez, 26, of 1500 S. 48th Court, Cicero, was arrested at 3800 Oakton St. at 4:30 p.m. Friday and charged with criminal trespass to vehicle. He is due in court on Sept. 6 at 9 a.m.

Graffiti was discovered in a park in the 1400 block of Mulford Street at 8:59 a.m. Friday.

Graffiti was discovered on a sidewalk in the 800 block of Elmwood Avenue at 1:47 p.m. Thursday.

Graffiti was discovered in a park in the 2200 block of McCormick Blvd. at 12:23 p.m. Saturday.

Joel A. Kuczmarski, 26, of 1430 Sheridan Road, was arrested at 817 Davis St. at 1:16 a.m. yesterday and charged with disobedience to police. He Is due in court on Aug. 12 at 9 a.m.

Carlos Martinez, 36, of 1828 Brown Ave., was arrested at Evanston police headquarters at 11:40 a.m. Saturday and charged with unlawful video recording of a minor.

2200 Howard
Someone stole a cell phone from a store in the 2200 block of Howard Street shortly after 3 p.m. Friday. Suspect is a 5-foot-7-inch-tall black male weighing 175 pounds.
1100 Chicago
Food items were taken from a grocery store in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue at 1:31 p.m. Wednesday. Suspect is a 5-foot-6-inch-tall white female weighing 150 pounds.
1200 Maple
A garbage can was taken from the yard of a home in the 1200 block of Maple Avenue between noon July 14 and 3 p.m. Friday.
100 Callan
Keys left unattended in an apartment/condo common area in the 100 block of Callan Avenue were taken between 3:30 p.m. and 4:50 p.m. Saturday.

Greenwood at Ridge
Tyrone Elijah Gibbs, 24, of 2116 Emerson St., was arrested at Greenwood Street and Ridge Avenue at 3:26 p.m. Friday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Aug. 17 at 9 a.m.
