An Evanston man told police his Nissan was hijacked by two armed masked men near Main Street and Custer Avenue before dawn yesterday. This among the stories in today’s crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Main at Custer
A 28-year-old Evanston man told police that his 2013 Nissan Altima was hijacked by two armed masked men near Main Street and Custer Avenue at about 3:50 a.m. yesterday. Police located the vehicle and said it had been damaged, but the allegeded hijackers remain at large.
Theft
2200 Ridge
A bicycle was stolen from an apartment storage area in the 2200 block of Ridge Avenue between 9 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. yesterday.
2209 Howard
Sinem L. Ergul, 27, of 720 Wellington Ave., Elk Grove Village, was arrested at 2209 Howard St. at 4:58 p.m. yesterday and charged with retail theft. He is due in court on Sept. 6 at 10:30 a.m.
Traffic
1000 Austin
Shawn D. Ford, 26, of 6973 N. Bell Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1000 Austin St. at 2:24 p.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Aug. 26 at 9 a.m.
Main at Sheridan
Sofia Adrianne Martin, 29, of 918 Hinman Ave., was arrested at Main Street and Sheridan Road at 11:55 p.m. yesterday and charged with driving under the influence. She is due in court on Aug. 22 at 9 a.m.
An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
