The second of Mather Lifeways two new retirement community buildings in Evanston is getting closer to its full height.

Mather officials say work is continuing to install concrete columns and floor slabs that will bring it to a final height roughly matching that of its neighbor across Davis Street at Hinman Avenue.

Work is also continuing to install exterior facade components and to redevelop the south garden just east of the new structure.

Opening of the second Mather tower is scheduled for late this year.

  1. Thank you Mather Lifeways

The Evanston Chamber of Commerce would like to thank Mather Lifeways for having the vision and the confidence to expand and build in this city under these tough economic times.  The Mather's commitment to the city and the Chamber of Commerce is commendable.  More commendable is Mather's expansion  commitment to serve the growing need of seniors, most of whom are now the baby boomers entering their retirement years.  I see The Mather Evanston as a cornerstone of Evanston for the next century.
