Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl cut the ribbon Thursday evening at Evanston’s newest clothing boutique, Gigi Bottega, at 612 Davis St.

The shop, owned and operated by Gina Vericella, opened in July.

Vericella says the store offers “affordable fashion for the contemporary woman” with a wide range of choices of everything from scarves, dresses and coats to jewelry and handbags.

It’s Vericella’s second store. She opened the first two years ago in Bloomington, Ill. It’s now being managed by her mother.

Vericella says was looking for another college town for her second location and “fell in love with Evanston.”
