Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl is looking for interested Evanston residents to fill two vacancies to the city’s Transportation/Parking Committee.

This eight-member committee addresses the city’s parking and transportation issues and provides a forum for the analysis of traffic safety, pedestrian, bicycle, transit, and parking needs.

The vacancies are for one resident/business owner and one resident.

The committee meets at 6 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of the month in the Civic Center.

Persons interested can apply online. Questions can be directed to the mayor’s secretary, Darlene Francellno, at dfrancellno@cityofevanston.org or by calling 311.

  1. Online form for applying to be on an Evanston board

I found it interesting clicking on the link for the online application that it's in English and Spanish. Does that imply that you can serve on an Evanston board and not speak English?
