The four people who would be Evanston’s new mayor were asked Thursday what they’d seek from Northwestern University and its new president Morton Schapiro.

They spoke at a forum sponsored by the Youth Jobs Center held at the Evanston Public Library, and they suggested ideas from having the university hire more Evanstonians to having it make multi-million dollar annual payments to the city in lieu of taxes.
