A 2018 Mazda and a 2002 Lexus have been reported stolen in Evanston. These among the stories in today’s crime bulletin from Evanston police.


2200 Cleveland

A gray 2018 Mazda was reported stolen from the 2200 block of Cleveland Street around 5:30 a.m. on Thursday.

900 Judson

A gold 2202 Lexus RX 3000 was reported stolen from the 900 block of Judson Avenue between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. Wednesday.

2400 Howard

Food items were taken from the Jewel-Osco grocery store in the 2400 block of Howard Street at 6:20 a.m. Thursday.

1000 Central

An Illinois license plate was stolen from a vehicle in a parking garage in the 1000 block of Central Street between 7:45 a.m. and 5:20 p.m. Tuesday.

100 Kedzie

Jewelry was taken from a home in the 100 block of Kedzie Street between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Tuesday.

2600 Ridge

A purse and its contents were taken from a commercial office in the 2600 block of Ridge Avenue between 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday.

1100 Church

A delivered package was stolen from the common area of a building in the 1100 block of Church Street around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.


2000 Keeney

Sunglasses were taken from an unlocked 2017 Dodge in the 2000 block of Keeney Street between 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

1500 Ridge

A purse and its contents were stolen from an unlocked 2004 Toyota in the 1500 block of Ridge Avenue between 9 p.m. Monday and 1 p.m. Tuesday.

1300 Central

Cash was taken from an unlocked 2019 Hyundai in the 1300 block of Central Street between noon and 2 p.m. Tuesday.

3200 Otto

Nothing was reported missing after an attempt was made to enter a home in the 3200 block of Otto Lane at 7:12 p.m. Wednesday.

1300 Emerson

A gym bag and its contents were taken from an unlocked 2013 Dodge in a parking lot in the 1300 block of Emerson Street between 5 a.m. Wednesday and 7:15 a.m. Thursday.

300 Elmwood

Shoes were taken from a 2004 Toyota after breaking a drive side window of the vehicle between 11 p.m. on Dec. 15 and 1 p.m. Tuesday.


1700 Washington

A 2017 Buick was egged between 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and 6:45 a.m. Wednesday.


549 Sheridan

Eric D. Patton, 27, of 549 Sheridan Square, was arrested at that address at 7:32 a.m. Wednesday and charged with violation of an order of protection.


311 Linden

Frank H. Riley, 24, of 1806 S. Cottage Grove, Urbana, was arrested at 311 Linden Ave., Wilmette, at 7:20 a.m. Tuesday and charged with aggravated robbery.


2121 Dewey

Jorge Cruz, 46, of 1627 Simpson St., was arrested at 2121 Dewey Ave. at midnight Wednesday and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

1300 Howard

Oscar Henry Omar Ramirez, 35, of 1650 W. Morse Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1300 Howard St. at 7:20 a.m. Tuesday and charged with a traffic violation.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute an assumption of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Court in Skokie.
