Brinshore Development LLC will hold an informational meeting about subcontracting opportunities for the City of Evanston’s $18 million federal Neighborhood Stabilization Program housing rehabilitation grant at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27, at the Civic Center.

NSP2 funds will be used to purchase and rehabilitate 100 units of foreclosed or abandoned housing in west and south Evanston for rental and sale to income eligible households. Brinshore is the private firm that the city has partnered with to take the lead in carrying out the rehab program. The meeting will be held in Room 2200 of the Civic Center at 2100 Ridge Ave.

This program will involve virtually all residential building trades on multiple rehab projects of varying size during the three-year grant period. Work is expected to begin early this summer. Contractors can register online to receive more information about the program.
