Merchants in downtown Evanston and the Chicago-Dempster shopping district hold their annual sidewalk sale from Friday through Sunday.
There’ll be deals on apparel, shoes, one-of-a-kind accessories and decorative arts, including specialty and hand-crafted goods.
Local artists have been invited to be a part of the action downtown on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Participating artists will set up alongside downtown retail locations on Sherman Avenue, displaying paintings, jewelry, ceramics, sculptures and photography available for purchase.
In addition, big games will be available for free play in Fountain Square — including life-sized chess, Jenga and Scrabble.
Downtown merchants participating in the sidewalk sale include 522 Envy, American Apparel, Ayla’s Originals, Becky & Me Toys, Benefit Cosmetics, Coucou & Olive, Gigi Bottega, Bottle and Bottega, Campus Gear, Lemoi Hardware, Levi’s, Second Time Around,Spice & Tea Exchange, Uncle Dan’s and Urban Outfitters.
