The spokes-doll of the Illinois Office of Tourism — Mini Abe — kicked off a promotional campaign tied to the upcoming Big Ten football game between Illinois and Northwestern with a visit to the Evanston City Council Monday night.
Dubbed “The Big Ten’s Smallest Fan,” the pint-size replica of President Abraham Lincoln is scheduled to make appearances at an array of Evanston businesses and events starting Nov. 22 leading up to the Nov. 29 Land of Lincoln game at Ryan Field.
