Update 5:50 a.m.: Evanston police say the 80-year-old man reported missing Saturday morning was resting Saturday night in a Chicago-area hospital.

He reportedly was located by Chicago Police Saturday evening near the intersection of Touhy and Kedzie avenues, about two miles from his home.

Earlier story: The Evanston Police Department is seeking the public’s help in finding a missing 80-year-old man who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease.

The man, Carlos Rodriguez, was last seen by family members about 5:45 a.m. today. He only speaks Spanish and is missing from the 100 block of Callan Avenue.

Rodriguez is 5-feet-9-inches tall, weighs 160 pounds, is balding with grey hair, brown eyes, and a mustache and beard.

He was last seen wearing blue striped pajama pants, a white t-shirt, and a plaid blue sweater.

Anyone who believes they may have seen Carlos Rodriguez is asked to contact the Evanston Police at 847-866-5000.
