Three persons were robbed, including two at gunpoint, last night in a mob action at Mason Park, just east of Evanston Township High School on Church Street. Five of the six perpetrators were on bicycles, police said. These are among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.
Robbery
1700 Church
A group of six persons, including five on bicycles, utilized a handgun and removed backpacks, cell phones, and clothing items from two 18-year-old victims at Mason Park, in the 1700 block of Church Street, between 10:07 p.m. and 10:17 p.m. yesterday.
An 18-year-old male was accosted by a group of perpetrators playing basketball at Mason Park at about 9:07 p.m. yesterday who took his backpack with contents.
2650 California
Deiel T. Reese, 45, of 11001 S. Wentworth Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 2650 S. California Ave., Chicago, Thursday morning and charged with multiple counts of robbery in connection with offenses that occurred in April.
Assault
802 Main
Carl Michael Webb, 23, of 4343 N. Clarendon Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 802 Main St. at 10:12 a.m. yesterday and charged with assault. He is due in court on Aug. 5 at 10:30 a.m.
Battery
1111 Pitner
Gilbert L. Bruce, 38, of 1111 Pitner Ave., was arrested at that address at 2:45 p.m. yesterday and charged with domestic battery.
1454 Elmwood
D’Angelo W. Senters, 37, of 2116 Dobson St., was arrested at Evanston police headquarters at 5:28 p.m. Friday and charged with battery.
Burglary
1600 Maple
Someone used a tool in an attempt to pry open the door to a condominium in the 1600 block of Maple Avenue between 1 p.m. Saturday and 9:15 a.m. yesterday.
1700 Hinman
A burglar entered a home in the 1700 block of Hinman Avenue via an unlocked door between midnight Thursday and 8 p.m. yesterday and stole a laptop computer and other office equipment.
700 Brummel
A burglar entered an unlocked vehicle in the 700 block of Brummel Street between 3 a.m. Saturday and 3 a.m. yesterday and stole a purse with contents.
400 Elmwood
A burglar pried open the door to an apartment storage area and stole a bicycle between 10 a.m. Saturday and 10:08 a.m. yesterday.

Someone scratched the drivers side door of a 2014 GMC vehicle in the 2000 block of Warren Street between 6 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday.
1500 Wesley
Someone damaged the windshield of a 2012 Honda in the 1500 block of Wesley Avenue between 2 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday.
2300 Lee
Bullet holes were found in the front window and the front door of a vehicle in the 2300 block of Lee Street at 11:09 a.m. yesterday.

Graffiti was discovered in the yard of a home in the 1900 block of Foster Street at 1:44 p.m. yesterday.
100 Florence
Graffiti was discovered at a home in the 100 block of Florence Avenue at 9 a.m. Thursday.
900 Edgemere
Graffiti was found in the street in the 900 block of Edgemere Court at 9:41 a.m. Friday.
1400 Chicago
Graffiti was discovered at a theater in the 1400 block of Chicago Avenue at 12:20 p.m. Friday.

Dennis O. Wallace, 21, of 129 Elmwood Ave., was arrested at 836 Chicago Ave. at 5:52 p.m. Friday and charged with walking on the elevated railroad tracks. He is due in court on July 17 at 9 a.m.
1915 Maple
Dmarco J. Whitman, 22, of 1785 Trainer Road, Rockford, was arrested at 1915 Maple Ave. at 9:14 p.m. Friday and charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
Shots Heard
2300 Nathaniel
Gunshots were reported in the 2300 block of Nathaniel Place at 11:30 p.m. Saturday. Police checked the area and found some shell casings on the sidewalk.
Theft
1900 Dodge
Tools and air-conditioner parts left unattended in the yard of a home in the 1900 block of Dodge Avenue were stolen between 9 a.m. Saturday and 9:33 a.m. yesterday.
1600 Sherman
Someone took baby food off the shelves at a store in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue between 8:10 a.m. Thursday and 1:33 p.m. Friday.
1900 Dempster
An unsecured bicycle was stolen from a restaurant in the 1900 block of Dempster Street at 6:52 p.m. Friday.
1640 Chicago
Joann Robson, 75, of 1001 Emerson St., was arrested at 1640 Chicago Ave. at 1:54 p.m. Friday and charged with retail theft. She is due in court on July 29 at 9 a.m.
An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
