Money was taken from an unsecured locker at the YMCA on Grove and an unattended tablet was taken from Smith Park on Ashland. These are among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Burglary

1800 Maple

Money was stolen from a 2004 Hyundai in a parking lot in the 1800 block of Maple Avenue between 5:40 and 8 p.m. Monday.

Graffiti

1100 Oak

Someone sprayed graffiti on a residential garage in the 1100 block of Oak Avenue between midnight and 2 p.m. Saturday.

Theft

1000 Grove

Cash and credit cards were stolen from an unsecured locker at the YMCA in the 1000 block of Grove Street between 5 and 7:38 p.m. Monday.

1900 Church

A locked bicycle was stolen from a bike rack in the 1900 block of Church Street between 2:40 and 4:40 p.m. Monday.

1700 Emerson

An unsecured bicycle was stolen from the yard of a single family home in the 1700 block of Emerson Street at 9:30 pm Monday.

1700 Ashland

An unattended tablet computer was taken from Smith Park in the 1700 block of Ashland Avenue between 7 and 7:10 p.m. Monday.

Traffic

1200 Ridge

Jose M. Urbano, 25, 4323 N. Drake in Chicago, was arrested for a traffic violation at 1200 Ridge Ave. at 5:30 p.m. Monday and is due to appear in Skokie District Court at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 23.
