The National Weather Service says Evanston could get one to three inches of snow this afternoon and evening.

Assistant Public Works Director James Maiworm says crews are spreading anti-icing chemicals on the streets now and will switch to plowing the snow later in the day.

Temperatures are expected to top out around 23 degrees today, rising to around the freezing mark on Sunday.

Maiworm says it appears we can expect light snow every day next week with cold temperatures.
