The National Weather Service says there’s a chance Evanston will get some light snow Monday afternoon.

Accumulations are expected to be generally less than an inch and mostly on elevated or grassy surfaces.

The weather service says that if a localized moderate band of snow develops, reduced visibility and slushy accumulations on bridges and overpasses could occur.

Otherwise, the weather is expected to be pretty calm this week, with just a limited non-thunderstorm wind risk in the outlook for Thursday, the weather service says.
