Evanston officials are asking residents to voluntarily follow alternate-side parking rules Tuesday and Wednesday as crews prepare for another light snowfall Tuesday morning.

This afternoon’s snow totalled about one inch, says Assistant Public Works Director James Maiworm, and that’s about how much he says we can expect from the next storm, which is expected to blow through between 4:30 and 8 a.m.

Since tomorrow, the 17th, is an odd-numbered day, residents are asked to park on the even-numbered side of the street between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Then on Wednesday, the 18th, park on the odd-numbered side of the street.

In case you aren’t sure and can’t reed the street numbers, in Evanston odd house numbers are on the north and east sides of streets.
