The Literacy and Diversity mural at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Literary and Fine Arts School, commonly known as King Lab, will be dedicated Thursday, Sept. 20, at 5 p.m.
The mural, which measures 8 feet by 22 feet, was designed by visiting artist Maggie Weiss and funded by an Evanston Arts Council/Cultural Fund grant and a Foundation 65 grant.
The dedication will take place near the double staircase at the north end of the school, just below where the mural is hanging outside the man office.
