The food trucks were out in force at south Evanston’s Brummel Park this evening as neighbors gathered for a city-sponsored Starlight Concert.
While the Chicago soul/rock band The Congregation set up for their performance,
folks had their pick of fast-food options and servers — including the masked man behind the counter of The Tamale Spaceship.
While Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl and other city officials got to mingle with their constituents
kids got to burn off some of their boundless energy on the park’s playground equipment.
Five more Starlight Concerts are scheduled for city parks before the season wraps up on Aug. 20.
