The Evanston Community Foundation is inviting members of the Evanston community to participate in the 2011-2012 class of Signature Leadership Evanston, a 10-month experience that encourages and develops leadership potential and community engagement.

Members of the 20th Leadership Evanston class will:

  • Gain broader and deeper knowledge about our community.
  • Train in community leadership skills such as conflict resolution, advocacy and community organizing, creative problem solving, consensus building, strategic planning and board training.
  • Make connections and continue to build a network of engaged community leaders.

Leadership Evanston has graduated over 500 people who serve the community on boards and commissions, as elected officials, and in leadership roles in faith communities, social service, education and other organizations.

After graduation, participants join an active alumni organization where they continue to meet new people and engage in our community.

Leadership Evanston selects a diverse group of people who are representative of our community, live and/or work in Evanston, and have displayed the capacity for leadership. Deadline for applications is July 15.

For more information and an application, visit www.evanstonforever.org or contact Beth Osterlund at [email protected] or at 847.492.0992.
