All are invited to join the four Evanston Episcopal Churches on Sunday, August 16 at 10 a.m. at Burnham Shores (Hamilton Street and the lakefront) for worship followed by a picnic with games for children.  All children are invited to attend with their backpacks and school supplies to be blessed.  Everyone is welcome. Please bring a chair or blanket so that you can sit comfortably.

There is no charge to attend; however, a free will offering will be collected and given to COPE (Caring Outreach by Parents in Evanston) to help them reach their goal of $15,000 to reach at least 600 District 65 students in need and provide them with the supplies necessary to feel fully prepared to start school in the fall.  In addition, you are encouraged to bring new school supplies which will be collected and delivered to Lawrence Hall Youth Services in Chicago.  Lawrence Hall will provide these supplies to their growing population of children with experiences of abuse or neglect, poverty, homelessness, addiction, delinquency and special education needs.

We hope you will join us for this great event and that you will contribute to COPE (with a monetary donation) and/or Lawrence Hall Youth Services (with a donation of new school supplies).  See you at the lakefront!
