Former President Bill Clinton is scheduled to appear Tuesday at a get out the vote organizing event in Evanston ahead of the March 15 Illinois primary.
The event will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the Social Hall at Beth Emet Synagogue, 1224 Dempster St. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. and tickets are available on the Hillary Clinton campaign website.
The announcement for the event says "Clinton will lay out what's at stake during this election and why Hillary Clinton is the only candidate who can break down barriers that hold Illinoisans back, deliver results and continue the progress that we've made under President Obama."
Early voting is already underway for the Illinois primary.
The Clinton campaign team is led locally by U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky of Evanston, but the campaign of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders has also opened an office in Evanston.
