Award-winning Cuban pianist Aldo Lopez-Gavilan joins the orchestra for the dazzling jazz-inspired concerto of Gershwin’s ‘Rhapsody in Blue’ and Ravel’s ‘Piano Concerto in G Major’. And celebrate the great characters of literatir – the timeless antihero Mack the Knife from 1928’s ‘The Threepenny Opera’, and the man who threw the most extravagant parties of all, Gatsby.
