D65 invites community to reception for new super

The Evanston/Skokie District 65 Board of Education is hosting a reception for all community members to meet and welcome Dr. Paul Goren, the district's new superintendent.

The reception will be held on Monday, May 19, from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the Joseph E. Hill Education Center (1500 McDaniel Ave.). The Regular Board of Education Meeting will be held following the reception at 7:30 p.m. in the JEH Board Room.

“We are fortunate to have had such an involved community in helping select our new superintendent,” said Tracy Quattrocki, Board of Education President. “We are excited for the community to join us in welcoming Dr. Goren to District 65.”

The Board of Education voted unanimously to hire Goren as superintendent at its regular meeting on March 31. Dr. Goren, a longtime Evanston resident and veteran educator, was selected after a rigorous nationwide search that began last September.

Goren’s first day in District 65 will be on May 19.
