Evanston History Center Annual Meeting


The 121st annual meeting of the members of the Evanston History Center will be held at the Dawes House on June 13.

The event begins with a reception at 6:30 p.m., followed by the meeting at 7 p.m.

Evanstonian Frank Cicero will be the keynote speaker, with a presentation entitled “Creating the Land of Lincoln: The State of Illinois’ First Fifty Years.”

The Dawes House, completed in 1895, is located at 225 Greenwood St.

Charles Bartling

A resident of Evanston since 1975, Chuck Bartling holds a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University and has extensive experience as a reporter and editor for daily newspapers, radio stations and business-oriented magazines.
