Exploring Evanston Challenges & Possibilities, a Rotary Panel Discussion

The Rotary Club of Evanston is considering possibilities for focusing its community service and funding efforts in Evanston. Three potential areas are education gaps, hunger and aging.

This May 8 panel discussion, to be held at 6-7:30 pm in the auditorium at One Rotary Center, 1560 Sherman Ave., will bring together community leaders and members of the broader community for exploration of related challenges and possibilities.

Gilo Logan of Logan Consulting Services will serve as the moderator for the panel discussion; Candance Chow, District 65 School Board Member, will speak about the education opportunity gap; Ike Ogbo, interim director of the city’s Health and Human Services Department, will speak about food security; and Audrey Thompson, the city’s long-term care ombudsman will speak about aging in Evanston.
