‘Fix It: Health Care at the Tipping Point’


A doctor, a nurse and two local business owners will appear on a panel discussing health care costs following the screening of the documentary film “Fix It” Healthcare at the Tipping Point” on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at the Evanston Civic Center.

The film addresses the cost as well as the adequacy of the U.S. health care system from the viewpoint of small-to-medium-size businesses and even sole proprietorships and individuals.

The panelists are Stelios Valavanis, CEO of the cybersecurity firm onShore Security; Davis Borris owner of Hel’s Kitchen Catering; Kathryn Kaintz, a community health nurse, and Peter Gann, a professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine.

The event, which will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. will be held in the Parasol Room at the Civic Center.
