Food benefit for low-income residents

farmers_market_pix

A benefit to help low-income residents afford to buy fresh fruits and vegetables at Evanston's farmers markets is scheduled for July 11 at Found Kitchen and Social House.

The culinary tasting event will feature food prepared by chefs from Evanston restaurants, including Found, Boltwood, Chef's Station, Feast & Imbibe, Hoosier Mama Pie Co., and Terra & Vine.

Proceeds are used to support a program of Friends of Evanston Farmers Markets that provides matching funds for LINK card purchases at the markets.

Tickets may be purchased online via the FEFM website.
