Candidates running for two seats on the Oakton Community College Board of Trustees will attend a forum from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Monday March 6, in Room 1604, at the college’s Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road.
Sponsored by the Oakton Community College Faculty Association’s political action committee, candidates will be available to answer questions from the audience and give their positions on election issues.
Candidates Martha Burns of Evanston, Carmina Cortes Gonzalez of Des Plaines and Travis Zimmerman of Northbrook are scheduled to appear at the event. The fourth candidate, Skokie resident Paul Kotowski, is unable to attend but will have a prepared statement available at the forum.
Incumbents Jody Wadhwa of Northbrook and Patricia Harada of Wilmette are not running for reelection.
Oakton trustees serve for a six-year term.
