Lollie, a children's boutique located at 1312 Chicago Ave. in Evanston, is closing its doors after 12 years in business.

The shop, which features distinctive children’s clothing, organic baby gifts, unique toys, books, and accessories for boys and girls, newborn to size 14, the will close on Friday, July 31.

Owner Alexis Eyler announced the closing in an email to customers saying, "We have loved helping you find the perfect gift. Loved watching your children grow and find a style all their own. We will miss our wonderful neighbors and being part of this vibrant community."

Eyler, a long-time Evanston resident, took over Lollie in 2010. She started her career in the buying offices of Macy’s on 34th Street in New York City.  

Store closing sales have already begun. Summer apparel is currently 30 percent off, clearance merchandise is Buy 3, Get the 4th Free, and the remainder of the store’s merchandise is 15% off. Furniture and fixtures may also be purchased.
