Mental Health America North Shore essay and poster contest

Mental Health America of the Northshore announces its 12th Annual High School Essay and Poster Contest.  The contest topic, “If My Parents Only Knew,” gives teens an opportunity to tell a powerful story about problems sharing their everyday experiences with their parents and ideas for improving parent-teen communication.

Submission deadline is Saturday, March 22. E-mail submissions to info@mhans.org. Winners in two grade categories (9th-10th and 11th-12th) will be selected by a panel of volunteer teen and adult judges and will receive cash prizes. The Award Ceremony where winners will discuss their work will be on Sunday, April 27 at the Music Institute of Chicago's Institute for Therapy through the Arts, 1702 Sherman in Evanston.
