Ellen McManus, Caring Committee chair, speaks Aug. 3 at 10:30 a.m. at the Ethical Humanist Society of Chicago, 7574 North Lincoln Ave. in Skokie.
Her topic is, “My Life as a Nun.” Ellen will engagingly recount how her decision at age 13 to become a nun led her on a journey to a religious community and “a final profession.” Mixed with laughter and light mischief, she will share some sad, profound, and reflective moments.
Please join us for coffee hour after the talk. All are welcome to our Sunday programs, which are free and open to the public. For more information, please visit ethicalhuman.org.
