Northwestern University Summer Chorus


A stimulating array of selections for chorus, brass, organ, and piano, including the majestic In Ecclesiis by Giovanni Gabrieli and “Let All the People Praise Thee, O God” by William Mathias will be performed July 30 by the Northwestern University Summer Chorus.

Great poetry will be heard in works by Frank Ticheli and Eric Whitacre as well as in Ned Rorem’s Shakespearean tribute Present Laughter for chorus, brass, and piano. The concert’s “Take Flight” segment will feature “The Bluebird” by C. V. Stanford, “Gabriel” by Caldwell and Ivory, and Whitacre’s stunning Leonardo Dreams of His Flying Machine.

Tickets are $6 for the general public and $4 for students.
