Oakton School Centennial Birthday Party

Oakton Elementary School celebrates its 100th anniversary this September.  A community birthday celebration is planned for Saturday, Sept. 13, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the school auditorium.

All former students, teachers and staff and community members are invited to attend.  Join us as we remember the past, and celebrate the present and future of Oakton School.  If you’d like to share photos or memories of your time at Oakton, go to the event Facebook page, “Oakton Centennial Celebration”.

Oakton’s new Centennial Mosaic installation, created by students to commemorate the 100th birthday, will be officially unveiled and there will be tours of the historic school building, designed by influential architect, Dwight H. Perkins.

Complete a photo scavenger hunt, view a timeline display and enjoy birthday cake  and visit with former teachers, principals and classmates.
