The Dajae Coleman Foundation and the ETHS Black Advocacy Network will host a scholarship application workshop from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8.
The workshop in Beardsley Cafeteria at Evanston Township High School will have volunteers on hand to help students to identify scholarships, apply for scholarships, brainstorm essay topics and edit essays and applications.
Dinner will be served prior to the start of the workshop at 5 p.m.. Admission is free and everyone is invited but students are encouraged to RSVP online.
Dajae "DaeDae" Coleman was an Evanston youth shot to death in 2012 at the age of 14. DC3F, founded and led by Dajae's mother, Tiffany Rice, honors his legacy through its mission to "Uplift, Encourage, Empower and Reward Our Youth."
