Northwestern's Space Technology and Rocketry Society (STARS) will be running an interactive workshop about space and rocket science. During the Feb. 22 workshop we'll be learning about how rocket fuel works, experimenting with paper airplanes and students will be able to see videos from STARS's rocket launch in the NASA competition last spring! At the March 1 workshop we'll be designing space suits and learning about what it is like for astronauts to live in space. Space is limited. Please register for the Feb. 22 and/or March 1 events. Grades 6-12.

STARS consists of 3 main teams- Rocketry, Microgravity, and Cube Satellite. These teams are made up of undergraduate students from a variety of STEM backgrounds. They compete in yearly NASA-sponsored competitions against other college students from across the country.
