Evanston Live, a new entertainment program, launches on Saturday, Oct. 1, with a community-based retro-cool talk show featuring Evanston artists, musicians, chefs, local notables and historians.
The event, at the American Legion hall at 1030 Central St., opens at 7:15 p.m. with cocktails and culture in the lounge with entertainer Micheal Kett and music by DJ Pound.
That's followed from 8 to 9 p.m. by a live talk show hosted by Tammy Job with Mark Collins conducting interviews. The program line-up includes a Live Lit Piece by Nina Uziel-Miller, an interview with Evanston actor Antoine McKay, music with Susan Abraham, an interview with the founder of Shorefront Legacy Dino Robinson and a Lip Sync Battle with Peter Fitzgerald & Erika Carey
Then until 9:30 there'll be music from the band, The Band The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.
Tickets for the 21-and-older event are $11 and are available online.
