‘The Evanston History Many Don’t Know’

Local historian Dino Robinson of Shorefront Legacy Center presents stories covering the rich history of Evanston's Black Community from 1850 to today in when the Navigating Real Life Diversity series presents "The Evanston History Many Don't Know" at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 10, in the first floor Community Meeting Room at the Evanston Public Library, 1703 Orrington Ave.

African Americans have lived on the North Shore for more than 150 years and Robinson will provide a guide to the influences that impacted their lives.

The event is presented by the Evanston/Skokie PTA Council in partnership with the Evasnton Public Library, Evanston/Skokie School District 65, Youth & Opportunity United (Y.O.U.), Family Focus, YWCA Evanston/North Shore, and The Moran Center for Youth Advocacy.
