‘The Miracle Worker’ presented at ETHS

Evanston Township High School will stage “The Miracle Worker” on December 15, 16 and 17 in the school’s Upstairs Theatre. Curtain is at 7:30pm.

This award-winning play (and subsequent movie) tells the story of Anne Sullivan, the blind tutor for Helen Keller, who lost her sight in infancy and is subject to violent outbursts. Sullivan’s battle to break down the girl’s frustration through persistence and love is unforgettable.  The play is directed by Aaron Carney.

General-admission tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for students, senior citizens, with a special discounted ticket at $5 for all on opening night. Tickets are available online at www.ethstheatre.com, where you can print out your ticket, and at the ETHS box office before each performance.

Located at 1600 Dodge Ave., the ETHS Upstairs Theatre is handicapped accessible by elevator. Parking is best in the school’s back lot; enter off of Church or Lake Sts. For more information, call 847-424-7130.
