A musical history of the life of the amazing Queen Christina, one of Europe’s great eccentrics, from her childhood and reign in Sweden to her abdication and life in Rome. The Newberry Consort will perform music written for or heard by her by the many illustrious composers she knew, including Lully, Carissimi, Corelli, and Cesti, performed by singers, violins, and a rich continuo band of keyboards, theorbo, guitar, and lirone.
