Nabeel Khoury, a Senior Fellow for Middle East and National Security at the Chicago Council for Global Affairs, and formerly a Foreign Service Officer for the U.S. State Department, speaks January 25th at 10:30 a.m. at the Ethical Humanist Society of Chicago, 7574 N. Lincoln Ave., in Skokie. His topic is, “The Threat from ISIS: Real or Imagined.” Khoury will give a brief introduction to ISIS, explaining what is new in their ideology. He will describe the threats posed by ISIS and the strategic options for the U.S. and other countries in dealing with them.
