Try Hockey for Free March 3

The Evanston Youth Hockey Association invites boys and girls to Robert Crown Ice Arena on Saturday, March 3, for a Try Hockey For Free clinic as part of Hockey Weekend Across America. Starting at 3:20 p.m. local youth, ages 4 to 9, are encouraged to experience ice hockey for the first time and learn the basic skills in a fun, safe environment.

“We look forward to welcoming families to Robert Crown to try our great sport of ice hockey,” said Evanston Hockey President Brad Dunlap. “Our goal is for these families to enjoy watching their kids learn new skills with big smiles on their faces.”

Evanston Hockey is a non-profit organization that is committed to providing all children the opportunity to play hockey in a diverse program rooted in skills, leadership and character development along with sportsmanship and camaraderie. Our teams play at the highest competitive levels possible while remaining one of the most affordable programs in the area. We are an active partner of USA Hockey’s Try Hockey for Free and Hockey is for Everyone programs, and are committed to enabling any child who wants to lace up a pair of skates the chance to play the greatest game in the world.

USA Hockey’s Try Hockey program, with the support of the National Hockey League and NHL member clubs, among others, is designed to provide youth hockey associations with a national platform to introduce new kids to the sport. Pure Hockey and Liberty Mutual Insurance are official sponsors of Try Hockey For Free Days. USA Hockey has close to 400 locations offering this unique opportunity to kids nationwide.
