Two ETHS students win writing competition


Carlo Di Bernardo, a senior at ETHS, and Aela Morris, an ETHS graduate, are among the 20 teen writers selected for a new anthology by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.

The selections were based on creativity, originality and overall quality of writing, and were published in an anthology titled Spark a Story: Twenty Short Stories by American Teens.

Carlo’s story is titled “Sickle” while Aela’s story is titled “A Portrait of the Artist as a Teenage Girl.”
