District 65 officials say Nichols Middle School will reopen on its regular schedule Thursday. The school has been closed for two days after a bomb blast killed a man in a park on the same block as the school early Tuesday morning.

A note on the district’s website says parents are welcome to accompany their children to school and stay for a 9 a.m. meeting in the school library. An evening meeting for parents is also being planned.
